Setting Up A Website

Course Overview:

Setting Up A Website

Texting platforms want to know you are a real business and see how people can optin to your website to allow you to send them text messages. (this does not mean you can only text optin numbers) its more of regulation they require just to check that you have an optin on your site.

Important Note About Websites:

We will not be using a website to generate leads. In most cases until you start doing inbound marketing we will not send people to a website.

Websites will be to get your 10dlc approved so you can text and also something you can use for social proof. If you send leads to a website you will lose out on a ton of leads.

So for many this will be a temporary page.

To set up a website you have a few options.

You can use a simple template site with Wix. The video below is a step by step tutorial on how you can build your website in 8 minutes or less.

The cost is about $30 and you will get a credit from Smarter contact once its completed.

Carrot is more of a long term website that you can use for your entire business. Its more expensive but a good option to consider if you have a bigger budget.

*If you already have your own website:

The main things that Twilio is looking for is the text optin and text on your site. Please see the video to the wix website and look at the 3 minute mark – https://www.loom.com/share/06b69e5588b74955af6d47a848946612

You want to model this and the information it provides.
